According to the sexual health researcher Kinsey Institute, only 15% of men have a penis larger than 7 inches while a slender 0.1% pack a 9-inch penis.
Is 9 inches long the “right amount” for a penis or straight-up too big, though?
That’s exactly what we’ll be exploring today so what’s the deal?
Well, a large penis is often considered a sign of virility, fertility, and sexual prowess. Men tend to boast about their large penis if they have one. And, the general assumption is that the bigger a dick a man has, the more he can satisfy his partner.
But is it really ideal to have a 9-incher? Do women prefer their man to have a larger than average member or is this just too much?
Lots of questions and here come the answers…
Does Size Really Matter?
Porn movies tend to feature men who are abnormally well-endowed. This has led many men with average-sized penises to feel they are inadequate.
Is this the case, then?
A 2015 study by the University of California asked female respondents to explain their preferences of penis size using 3D printed models.
Interestingly, the results found that women prefer a larger penis for a brief sexual encounter but if they’re in a long-term committed relationship, they’re most likely to be happier with an average sized tool.
Another study by the International Society for Sexual Medicine found that women are more likely to have a vaginal orgasm from a longer penis. That said, the study was based on a sample of 320 women so it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s representative.
The Average Penis Size
Men should be reassured that, although some studies suggest that women are more likely to orgasm vaginally from a larger penis, the average size penis can still satisfy a woman.
According to a study by Dr Gordon Muir at King’s College NHS Foundation Trust in London, the average size penis is not necessarily as substantial as you might think.
Dr Muir’s study measured the penises of 20,000 men in a flaccid and erect state. The majority of men in the study measured 4 to 5 inches when erect. The study also found that only men in the top 90% stiffen to 7 inches when erect.
What Women Say
International Pleasure Coach Tyomi says:
“Most people think that size does matter. But, the interesting thing is that most think size matters in terms of how big. But, what really matters is that you have different penis sizes and shapes. You also have different vaginal sizes and shapes.”
She continues, “Most people think an average sized penis is small, but it’s not. This misconception comes from porn programming. It appeals to the male fantasy of having a big, hard rock. But an average sized penis is more than enough to satisfy a woman, as long as it’s used tactfully.”
And, she appears to be correct. We asked around some of my female friends. When we asked if they hanker after a 9-inch penis, we got responses such as, “I can’t say I’m a fan of a huge cock, men should spend more time working on their technique than worrying about their size.”
One telling response was, “I cum much harder and quicker with my boyfriend’s 6-inch cock than an 8 or 9-incher as the G-spot is located 3 to 4 inches inside a woman.”
Another lady retorted, “Men seem to value penis size, women really don’t. As long as it’s attached to someone I like, that’s what counts. I’d never stick with a man I didn’t like just because he has a big penis.”
“If a man came up to me in a bar and said that he has a 9-inch dick,” says one woman, “I’d probably call security. It’s about personality, not the size of their dick.”
You’re Not Putting That Inside Me
Some ladies may prefer a large penis but 9 inches could be a little too large for some and can even make sex painful depending on the size and shape of the lady’s vagina.
A bigger penis is more likely to cause vaginal tearing and also to induce soreness due to friction. That said, some women find that a 9-incher can bring them to vaginal orgasm easily. This also hinges on the sexual compatibility between the man and the woman.
For some girls, a 9-inch penis is simply too much. Sex is painful and the man can’t enter the vagina fully.
One respondent says, “I’ve been saying for years that size doesn’t matter and that pleasure isn’t about the size of the girth. In fact, the gigantic dicks I’ve had inside me have terrified me, hurt me, and have often not been accompanied by orgasms as the man on the end of them seem to think that’s their work done.”
However, when a woman is aroused, vaginal tenting occurs. This is where the vagina expands like an accordion. To give birth, a woman’s vagina must expand to accommodate the size of a newborn baby.
Women who have had sex with 9 inch penises say that foreplay is the most important factor for getting them ready for sex. Without proper arousal beforehand, sex can be too painful.
What Do Men Say?
Many men with average-sized penises dream of having an over sized member. It makes them feel powerful and strong.
But, what’s it really like for men blessed with a 9 inch penis?
Is it really a blessing?
One notoriously well-endowed gentleman explains, “I’ve had two girlfriends who could happily enjoy a large penis. One was a tall, athletic girl with a rather loose vagina. Size totally mattered for her. The other one had had three children and we’d regularly use a 9 inch toy to satisfy her. It depends entirely on the woman.”
The 9-inch penis is rare, despite what porn films portray. To think that women across the board prefer a 9-incher is a myth. Most women say that an average penis size of 4 to 5 inches when erect is perfectly satisfactory.
There’s no one-size-fits-all with penis size. Considering the depth of the vagina varies between 4 and 7 inches, a 9-inch penis can be painful and unsatisfying unless the woman has a roomier vagina.
While size does matter to an extent, then, it’s how you use what you’ve got that’s crucial. No matter the penis size, foreplay is most important in getting that special person to achieve an intense and mind-blowing orgasm.
